  • 109 ha total farm size. Flat to medium rolling contour (80% flat - 20% gentle gradient)

  • Peak milking 310-320 Friesian Cross cows

  • 122,000kgMS (4 year average)

  • System 3 (Feeding Grass silage, Maize Silage and PKE on the feed pad)

  • 34 aside Herringbone cowshed with new Waikato cup removers

  • Pit control electric drafting gates

  • Very well raced and fenced

  • 40ha + receives effluent irrigation by a traveling irrigator (two available)

  • Large calf rearing facilities with great bobby calf loading area

  • Brand new 4 bedroom main house

  • Very tidy 2.5 bedroom assistants house

  • Maize and grass silage is bought to the dairy farm from the run off block which is owned and managed by the farm owners

What we are looking for in an applicant?

  • Passion for pasture. First and foremost, you must be able to understand and execute on what target pre and post grazing residuals are required at different times of the year.

  • Animal health is always a priority.

  • Mating results - these are always the key to the following season success. We want to see as many cows in-calf as possible

  • Attention to detail. Must have a good knowledge or willingness to learn about all the details required to be recorded for farming. MINDA, Dairy Diary etc.

  • Open communication. The farm owners do live on the property and are happy for their knowledge to be tapped into, you just need to ask.

  • Fit, healthy and tidy team. This is a tidy farm that has a lot of work put into over the years so it is expected someone can bring the same level of interest

  • Having the want to learn more and continue to become a better farmer
